Reflections of The Tarn II
The early day started out with an unpredictable, less than stellar sunrise shoot on a cold and windy October at an Acadia National Park coast. Looking for alternate locations, I drove by and remembered The Tarn on a previous day when the sun was high in the sky and the dreary dullness by the harsh mid-day lighting on it. But because it was somewhat sheltered from the wind and an overcast sky, I decided to take a second look. Wow! I was greeted with the most beautiful, vibrant fall colors from the surrounding mountain that's reflected on the water surface, creating a contrast with the purplish tint of the reeds. The entire scene reminds me of an Impressionist painting! - The Tarn, Acadia National Park
